How many symptoms do YOU have?

Walk-in: A change of identity (Essence/Being) in an existing physical body. A mutual agreement where different parts of the same Essence or different Essences change occupancy in a body while it remains alive.

1. I am on a “Spiritual path” or Awakening journey

While this is not really a “symptom”, it’s so common that it’s useful to identify.
My awareness is that less than 5% of the typical population may experience being a walk-in. With people who are on some kind of self-improvement or awakening journey, this number jumps up as high as 65-70%. Walk-ins seem to be common for people who are seeking to connect at deeper levels and get to know themselves more.

WHY?
You have basically indicated to the Universe that you are interested in moving beyond a normal “unconscious” existence and open to exploring “out of the box” compared to the general population. You are seeking more awareness of what life is about and your connection to it. There are many things about life on this planet that are not understood or available to the general population… you have shown you want to know more about life’s mysteries. And having a Walk-in breaks so many paradigms that it’s difficult to not become aware.

2. You sense many odd things in your life, but can’t seem to think about them

You have a feeling there have been many odd things that have occurred in your life, yet it’s like they seem to get erased from your memory or be impossible to think about or look into them openly.  You find the whole topic of walk-ins or other parts of you jumps out as true, then it’s like you become unable to think about it and the topic disappears from your mind. This is a HUGE pattern for Walk-ins… your brain is hiding your truth to attempt to protect your identity.

WHY?
We have a left-brain system called,  “the interpreter” that quickly makes up stories to attempt to keep our reality and identity coherent and consistent. When your brain has conflicting information such as: “I’m a normal person”  but no, “I’m actually a walk-in”  your brain will choose to accept information that supports your historical identity and will throw out information that challenges or opposes that identity.   Your brain works to protect its image of your identity at all costs, so the net effect is that “the interpreter” seeks to HIDE anything that is “not normal” and keeps striving to maintain “normal.”

For folks who are a walk-in, this part of your brain works overtime working to hide all the odd anomalies that have occurred and literally makeup stories to cover over those anomalies in a desire to “protect you.”

Watch as you go through this list… and see what your brain attempts to deny or rationalize away, even though you FEEL truth in the item.   You’ll feel, ‘yes this is me!’ but then your brain steps in with some story or rationalization as to why this does not apply to you.  Your brain is hiding things from you to “protect you”, your brain is not your friend when trying to discover your truth.

3. I have incomplete memories of my childhood (parts missing, little or no emotion with it)

This item is a hallmark of the Walk-in. They have limited memories of their past. What they do remember is like small snapshots of some key situations that happened. Like clips from a movie. The spaces in between are almost non-existent. Also, what they do remember, doesn’t seem to have any emotion associated with it anymore. There is no real charge or emotion associated with what occurred (even though you might suppose their should be).

If a walk-in feels back from the present backwards, they can actually notice a point where the emotion or “feeling” of memories just goes away and everything gets kind of “flat.” Example: If the scene was outdoors, you can no longer “feel” the sun on your face, the wind blowing, the energy of the day, smell the grass, or feel how you were feeling that day. Memories that occurred before the walk-in often experienced just like snapshots, pictures of the scene, with no feeling or depth.

WHY?
Well, in short… it’s because “you” weren’t there! Your body has stored memories of what occurred but they are different from the way “your” memories are stored so they don’t feel as rich and sensorial as your memories do.

Often the only “memories” that walk-ins have are snapshots of memories that have been retold or shared by other people (family & friends). These relayed memories are also not as rich and full as your own authentic memories would be.

4. I’ve had dramatic life changes (career, relationship, location, name, etc)

A walk-in is almost by definition a change of personality in the body. Each personality (facet/Being) has a different focus, interest and way of expressing itself. So it’s common for walk-ins to undergo dramatic life changes after the change has occurred. How soon after and how dramatic the change is seems to vary from person to person. Walk-ins commonly feel no longer interested in their job or career, hobbies can change, existing relationships commonly lose their value and change, they move where they live and sometimes feel drawn to want to use another name or nickname that suits them better.

While many years ago, these changes commonly followed some big dramatic accident, surgery, or drug overdose. Today, walk-ins can occur with amazing subtly over a year or more, so the change is only noticed in hind-site.

WHY?
A walk-in commonly agrees to wrap up or resolve the previous occupants life before beginning their own. So there is a transition that occurs over time, from the previous occupants interests and relationships, to the new occupants interests and future relationships. As the person wraps up the previous occupants life, their new direction starts to become more obvious and unfolds.

Each Being/Facet (soul) has it’s own agenda. Things it wants to accomplish or explore during its time here on earth. Once the walk-in tidies up and wraps up the previous occupant’s life, they begin their own focus of exploration.

Sometimes interests remain similar and sometimes they vary quite dramatically. The more similar the incoming soul is to the previous soul, the less changes seem to occur. You can also have other expressions/facets (or parts) of the same Essence/Oversoul walk-in. So the Being expands into new areas not previously focused on.

5. I’ve experienced feelings of wanting to die or “not be here” any more

Walk-ins commonly experience some period of intermittent feelings of wanting to die or “not be here.” It’s rarely continual, it seems to come and go, but it sticks around for a period of weeks to years until some shift occurs in the person (to release the previous occupant’s spirit). This is so common, that it’s one of the prime indicators that I ask people about.

WHY?
Wanting to be done here or die, is the outgoing occupant’s feelings. The walk-out Being, often has a sensation of being “done” or wanting to “not be here” anymore. These feelings can be subtle or intense. After the transition is made, if the previous occupant fully leaves the body, this feeling goes away.

If the sensation sticks around for an extended period of time, you could have trapped a part of the previous occupant in the body. Sometimes when a new soul enters the body, they “hang on” to the previous occupant for a variety of reasons. (common ones are: “they know how this body works”, “they know how to do this job” or “they can be my friend”, etc) In general, holding on to previous occupants causes MOST of the problems and confusion that occurs.

6. I’ve thought about suicide at times

Pretty much the same as above, but more serious. Walk-ins who are more tangled commonly explore this more seriously. Whether they actually tried to commit suicide or not, they notice these ongoing feelings and thoughts. Sometimes they are ok with life, other times they want to die.

WHY?
Remember, the outgoing soul chose to die, leave, exit. If you attempt to keep them with you in the body, they commonly keep trying to die or just remain very depressed and feeling trapped. For some people, the previous soul will attempt to die again. They will try to do what it takes to leave. I’ve seen previous occupants creating cancer in the body so they could get out.

If you find you keep going back and forth between feeling like you have a new life, and wanting to die/feeling stuck/trapped, you likely have “a trapped previous occupant.” You will want to release the previous occupant(s).

7. I’ve experienced times in my life when nothing was important or mattered to me

While this is not something that only a walk-in would feel, this turns out to be a common experience among walk-ins. They go through a phase when many things just loose the excitement or fun that they used to be to the person. People, places, hobbies, jobs, life long focuses… just don’t matter any more. These things just lose their interest to the person.

WHY?
Commonly, when the outgoing occupant is done, this is how it feels, nothing matters. The out-going Being is ready to leave, they are done. Once the previous occupant leaves, this sensation goes away. If you have a previous occupant STILL in your body with you, then you may still experience this from time to time.

If you try to keep living the previous occupants life, you’ll find it’s lifeless, boring, and uninteresting. Life will typically stay that way until you find and move into your Being’s NEW interests.

8. Sometimes I’m not sure who I am, life feels confusing

While many people experience questions about “Who am I?” or “Why am I here?”… they do it from a space of curiosity. Walk-ins commonly just feel blurry or foggy, like they just can’t perceive the normal definition of self that they used to feel. Like they have lost a part of themselves and are just living in a state of confusion. Some days they might feel one way about something, and another day they might feel almost the opposite. It’s like there is no longer a consistency that they can say who or what they are. They just don’t know some days.

WHY?
This is a strong sign that you still have another occupant in your body WITH you. When you mix the light of two Beings together, things become unclear, muddled, confused. You are not sure who you are, because you are a mix of multiple Beings (occupants) so everything is blurry and confusing. Things get easier when you clear the previous occupants (they wanted to die anyway).

Note: This can also be a symptom of having entities (other beings) in your body- also common with people who have had multiple walk-ins, surgeries, or intense experiences with drugs or alcohol.

9. I don’t know what my passions or interests are, life is flat

Walk-ins seem to lose all sense of motivation, interest, and passion about life. Even things they used to LOVE to do, just don’t matter. It’s kind of like depression, but not as strong… it’s more just flat, blah, nothing. Like all the zip in their life is just gone and there really isn’t any particular reason for it. No point or purpose. It just is.

Some people will even experience the sensation of being in a “void”… a large empty lifeless space with no action or enthusiasm for anything. While this feeling comes and goes, it can be mildly disturbing and not, all at the same time.

WHY?
Having this for a short period of time can be normal. But if this feeling continues for a long period of time, or wobbles in and out, you likely have a trapped previous occupant who feels this way. This can be an indicator of an outgoing occupant that has been partially released and partially in the void, but still partially in the body. After the previous occupants and baggage are cleared, direction and purpose return naturally (though this takes some time.)

10. I don’t seem to be as connected to my family and friends anymore (I am more distant)

Walk-ins commonly feel torn between wanting to be connected to their family and friends and not having any connection anymore. It’s like these people who used to be your family and close friends just feel further away. Distant. Like you don’t really know them very much anymore. Like you just don’t care very much about them (or not as much as you used to.)

WHY?
Because they are NOT “your” family or friends. They were the family and friends of the previous occupant who was in the body. You didn’t pick these people, you haven’t lived with these people and you don’t feel a sense of strong connection to them. You may like them more when you are feeling like your “old” self… but when you are feeling connected to the “new you”… these friends and family just don’t resonate anymore.

Commonly the walk-in does their best to back out of these old relationships without traumatizing the family & friends. You may retain some friends, but commonly, you find new ones who resonate more and who feel more connected to the new version of you.

11. I had a major accident (or illness) and then my whole life changed

In some cases, a walk-in situation was created by some form of manipulation or interference trying to block you. An experience of being knocked unconscious by some means such as an accident of sorts, or blacking out due to a surgery or drug/alcohol overdose. While this is not necessary to have a walk-in, many years ago it was more common. Today it can happen much more subtly, some beings never even realize it’s occurred.

WHY?
The previous Being/soul left, you came in. The space of unconsciousness was used to transfer Beings and energies while the body’s systems were “off-line.” Welcome to your new life. Enjoy it!

12. I keep trying to make sense of my life, many things just don’t make sense

Walk-ins have deep questioning of why they had certain experiences in their past. They seek to make sense of their life and put together pieces that just don’t seem to fit or make sense. They notice inconsistencies, discrepancies, or holes in their storyline and look for answers or resolution to it (but may not find any- yet). Many walk-ins sense that there have been some shifty or covert things that happened in their youth, but they are at a loss to explain it. Having a feeling like they are part of some undercover or secret operation is a common experience for walk-in’s.

WHY?
This is often because you think you are still the same person you were before the walk-in change. So you are trying to connect feelings, thoughts, and desires that are different from who you “used to be” to who you are now. It just doesn’t add up or make any sense. You are not the same person, your interests and desires changed. There actually is no congruency so things WON’T make sense without the understanding that you are now a different soul in the same body.

And at the same time, you are more aware than the previous occupant was and so you are likely noticing there were manipulations or alterations of the previous occupant’s life. These are useful to allow yourself to perceive. They can help to explain the depth of strange things that occurred throughout your body’s history.

13. The thought of being born a baby sounds like too much work

As strange as this sounds if you have the perspective that being a baby wouldn’t be very much fun. You might be a walk-in. People who are “born-in” commonly enjoy the thought of being a baby.

14. You keep retelling your past stories, but they have no emotion them

Walk-ins commonly have an almost urgent desire to keep retelling stories of their past as if they are important. Yet, because they are not the person who lived them, there is no emotion associated with the stories. It’s like talking about a movie you watched rather than something you lived. It’s often done in an attempt to retain or somehow create a sense of continuity where none actually exists.

15. Not being able to make decisions/choose/create or have direction

During a walk-in transition, or if there is a previous occupant still in the body, it may be difficult to make decisions (keep changing your mind), know what to choose (even simple things), or feel like you can create effectively like you used to. This is part of the confusion that exists from having more than one being living inside the same body. As long as there are multiple souls or occupants in the same body, the energies blur together and make everything muddy and unclear. Making decisions and creating is difficult at best.

16. “A part of me wants to, another part doesn’t”

You find that decisions are hard to make because there is are often differing opinions going on inside of you.  It feels like there are different parts of you and they don’t all have the same opinion.  So you find yourself saying things like, “I’m not sure, a part of me wants to do that, but another part doesn’t want to.”  Another classic walk-in indicator.
