I found a really cool example this morning of how I took on another being’s point of view and it… messed with my love life.
So, I’ve had this pattern of being sexually passive. Not initiating, not being able to be dominant even when my partner desired it.
I just had insurmountable difficulty in going there.
I had all kinds of stories about “why” that is that way, and my defending for the benefits of that. But I knew there was more. I desire to be the “alpha male” when I desire that.
I woke up this morning with a drive to change that…
What I found, blew my mind.
One of the core beliefs was :
“I must be passive and wait for my Queen to take me.”
And when I say Queen, I don’t mean a cute name for a beloved…
I mean “THE” Queen of our whole species!
The Queen that has brought ALL life everywhere into existence.
(hmmmm…)
As I saw that, I realized immediately… it was a viewpoint from a matriarchal hive-mind species… not from Earth!
Where did THAT come from?
Likely from one of the many alien entities I’ve hosted in my body over my creative life-time :)
==> How many points-of-view do you have that actually come from a non-human species?
==> What are all the points-of-view do you have that are based in alien cultures not even from this planet?
One or two? LOL :D
Let me show you how that belief worked inside my mind…
So I had that viewpoint of “I must be passive” but it obviously didn’t fit here in my reality on this planet. So I looked for other earthly stories that would explain that viewpoint:
I created beliefs:
1. I must have violated women before in the past (even though it’s not in my character) and so I’m going to be passive to make sure I don’t ever violate women again.
2. Being sexually passive empowers women to be more dominant and in charge.
(Yet all of my partners wanted me to be more dominant… and I still couldn’t)
3. Men are bad, evil creatures who force their way on women… I will never do that!
(Of course I took on shame and wrongness over THAT one… even though it’s not me)
4. Being passive is more respectful and a higher view of sexuality.
(really?)
I had created or owned these viewpoints to justify or make real-and-true a viewpoint that was not even from this planet!
==> How many things that you are seeking to change but can’t, are you stuck in off-world viewpoints?
==> When you ask, “Who does this belong to?“, do you stay confined to this planet in looking for the source of those energies?
My recommendation to people is to ask Gary Douglas’ complete question:
Who does this belong to?
Me? Someone else? SomeTHING else?
==> What percent of the energies that are locking you down come from viewpoints OUTSIDE this planet?
If you are looking for purely planetary sources, you may keep defaulting to the assumption that it belongs to YOU… because you are not looking BIG enough to see the true source of it.
What if every time you ask “Who does this belong to?” (and are willing to really LOOK at it) you expand your world and see more truth of your Infinite Being.
The more you look at all the cosmic viewpoints you are holding and WHERE those actually came from, the more you have to expand to perceive the TRUTH of the game that you play and the true magnitude of the being you actually BE.
You begin to actually KNOW you are an Infinite Being.
So in this festive time of celebrating a cherub shooting a poisoned arrow into your body to make you fall in love with someone (who turns out to be completely inappropriate for you)…
Why not ask:
==> Who do my viewpoints around love and relationship belong to?
Me? Someone else? SomeTHING else?
And be really willing to look at where those things really came from…
You might be surprised!
